Omnis Labs, the company behind Deep Block, was honored to be awarded both the Gold Prize of the Seoul International Invention Fair and the Seoul City Major Prize for innovation and creativity.
SIIF 2022 (Seoul International Invention Fair) was hosted from Nov. 16th to 19th by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA). Since 2002, this event celebrates, under the patronage of the City of Seoul, all inventors and researchers from all over the world. It is one of the largest annual invention fairs in the world. SIIF welcomes each year more than 600 inventions from 27 countries and around 30,000 visitors.
Omnis Labs partook in the SIIF 2022 to showcase its flagship solution - Deep Block - a no code AI-powered platform where you can create and use AI models without any of the frustration of coding. Deep Block allows you to use a library of pre-trained models but also lets anyone train their own AI data sets, no expertise required.
Deep Block specializes in remote sensing imagery analysis (aerial surveillance, bi-temporal change detection, object detection and segmentation...) but can accommodate a vast range of use cases like photomicrograph analysis, pedestrian detection, facial expression recognition...
For Gwiwhan Moon, Founder and CEO of Omnis Labs and Creator of Deep Block, winning both prizes is the ultimate accolade from this close-knitted inventor community:
“Our company is focused of packaging complex technologies and bringing them to the masses. We want to democratize AI and make it “OMNIS-present” in the near future. We are proud and honored to see our efforts in innovation recognized by the rest of the community and to see that more and more Deep Learning technologies are making their way up in those spheres.”
Omnis Labs’ vision is to make AI a common place, not a pipe dream. The company empowers anyone to access the world of AI and start building their own models. The goal is to create one of the first AI collaborative ecosystems. This is made possible by developing a powerful and intuitive product but also by fostering a great community where knowledge is freely shared. Thus, Deep Block recently launched its own Deep Block Academy that teaches non expert the basic of Python Programming (the main language used in AI training) and different courses on Deep Learning, amounting to 36 hours of curated content total.
Omnis Labs is a family of engineers from prestigious Korean Universities and takes innovation at heart by developing its own technology every step of the way. Indeed, the company holds currently 3 patents in the sector of Artificial Intelligence and Remote sensing:
- Method to process contents,
- Method for artificial intelligence service based on user participation and apparatus for performing the same
- Method for detecting high resolution image and apparatus for performing the method (pending).
